The Department of Health and Human Services is providing COVID-19 testing at our public housing estates with support from Yarra Council. Face masks are being provided to housing estate residents, and Yarra has also been supporting these residents with fresh food, hygiene products, books and other items.

Yarra Council has declared its support for the global Black Lives Matter movement and commits to fighting racism, preventing Aboriginal deaths in custody, and advocating for broader understandings of Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community experiences, issues and stories.
Yarra Council is trialling changes to some street spaces to offer more opportunity for physical distancing, active and sustainable transport, and neighbourly connections.
The Main Yarra Trail will be temporarily closed for repairs on weekdays from 16 June to 15 July 2020 between 7.30am and 5.30pm. Parks Victoria have provided directions and a map (below) for recommended alternative routes.
