Volunteer involvement is a critical part of our society. It enhances civic life and helps build strong, inclusive, and resilient communities. Volunteer contributions are crucial to the success of many community projects, programs and events in the City of Yarra whilst providing benefits to the volunteers themselves.
Council values volunteering and therefore developed the Yarra Volunteer Strategy 2019-2023 (PDF, 2.5MB) and annual action plan. This is a framework for Council to promote, encourage, support and celebrate volunteering in our municipality.
