We support volunteers and leaders of volunteers with skills development, awards and events, networking, grants, discounted venue hire and partnerships with other community organisations.
Our volunteer programs
Our council-led volunteer programs include a diverse cohort of volunteers who work alongside paid staff to add value in delivering our community outreach objectives. There are a variety of ways we do this, such as:
- Social support through the Home Libraries Service, Chatty Cafe and Thread Together Store
- Digital literacy through Learning Bank’s Digital Help service
- Aged and disability support through the Companion Animal Support program
- Intergenerational kindergarten programs through Seniors and Sprouts
- Protecting nature and diversity through the Gardens for Wildlife program
