Step 1: Submit your application online (including your Resume, Cover Letter and response to the Key Selection Criteria).
Step 2: You will receive an email acknowledgement that your application has been received.
Step 3: We will then contact shortlisted candidates. This may include a phone interview.
Step 4: Panel interview.

Do you offer practical work placements?
We offer comprehensive practical placements to people across a wide range of our departments.
Our practical program aims to provides you with the opportunity to gain experience, skills and knowledge in a dynamic local government environment.
We provide you with the ability to put course work into a practical context, gauge their interest and ability in various specialisations, offer experience in the workplace in interpersonal and technical skills, and assist them to become more employment-ready with varied experience.
Do you offer student placements to tertiary students?
We only offer student placements to tertiary students when it is a course requirement to undertake workplace learning.

As part of our commitment to improve service delivery, we have implemented on-line induction for all Yarra City Council contractors and service providers who work on our buildings or infrastructure.
This process will ensure that all visitors to our work sites are inducted prior to visiting or commencing works with Yarra City Council.
The induction will take approximately 20 minutes and is compulsory for contractors working within City of Yarra work sites.
