We offer diverse, inner city career opportunities.
COVID-19 and recruitment
Yarra City Council is committed to ensuring the safety of our people and community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many of our employees are currently working remotely or in a way that is different to normal, which may impact our recruitment processes including time to respond to applicants and conducting online interviews instead of in-person. Some roles may also require temporary remote working arrangements, if applicable this will be discussed with you at the time of interview.
We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

Working for Victoria
Yarra City Council, in partnership with the Victorian Government, is creating new local job opportunities for unemployed workers under the Working for Victoria initiative.
Yarra is creating more than 67 local positions to help respond to and support local business and community during coronavirus (COVID-19). A range of positions are available and will support Yarra’s outdoor dining program and community wellness initiatives.
The roles are being offered on a six-month fixed-term basis and are instrumental to guiding our community through the challenges presented by COVID-19 and supporting long-term recovery.
