Yarra City Council is opening its 2023 Annual Grants program on Monday 13 June with more than $1 million in funding up for grabs.

The Annual Grants program welcomes applications for projects spanning Arts & Culture, Community Development, Climate Action, Community Housing, Family, Youth & Children and Sports & Recreation.  

Yarra City Council Mayor Cr Sophie Wade said the grants program provided vital opportunities for Council to redirect resources to innovative programs and projects that enhance community connectedness.

“Council’s Annual Grants program is open to anyone with a great idea that addresses pressing social issues or supports disadvantaged groups,” Mayor Wade said.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for members of the community to bring their ideas to life and to enhance the experience of living in Yarra,” she said. 

Last year, Council received 220 applications and provided more than $1 million in funding for a variety of projects.

  • Tuesday 7 June 5.30-6.15pm, Richmond Town Hall, 333 Bridge Rd, Richmond – Meeting Room 1 
  • Wednesday 8 June 2:00-2:45pm, Collingwood Library,11 Stanton Street, Abbotsford - Meeting Room
  • Thursday 9 June 12:30-1.15pm, Bargoonga Nganjin – (North Fitzroy Library), 186 St Georges Road, Fitzroy North - Seminar Room 1.

Applications for the 2023 Annual Grants will open on Monday 13 June and close at 11:59pm on Sunday 31 July.
