At Tuesday night’s Council Meeting, Council endorsed: 

• The project terms of reference for a strategic review of the Community Grants Program.
• The Yarra Neighbourhood House Partnership Framework.
• The awarding of Contract C1644 to SJM Turf and Civil Pty Ltd for the redesign and risk mitigation works at Burnley Golf Course at a cost of $2,214,530.47 and the authorisation of relevant officers to manage and communicate the contract.

 Council resolved to:  

• Note the increase in tree canopy coverage by 3.8% across Yarra, resulting in a rise in the percentage of the municipality covered by tree canopy from 17% to 17.7%, with strategies set for Urban Forest Strategy's 2040 target.
• Review the Amendment C286yara Open Space Report's findings, await a guiding report on 12 September concerning the Amendment C286yara Planning Panel Hearing and expedite the public open space contribution request with the Minister for Planning.

• Council received a petition from residents requesting improved safety measures in the shared zone on Little Buckingham Street, Richmond, and referred it to the appropriate officer for consideration.
