Today, Yarra City Councillors came together with LGBTQIA+ community leaders, business, advocates and groups in Yarra to find better ways to support and work in partnership with the LGBTQIA+ community.

The Pride Morning Tea was a great workshop of ideas sharing, connection, and discussion.

Yarra City Council Mayor, Cr. Claudia Nguyen said she was thrilled to meet with these key LGBTQIA+ community leaders in Yarra, to find ways to better support and advocate for the community.

“We adopted an LGBTQIA+ Strategy 2021-2024, which sets out to find ways to support, participate and connect with the community” 

“Events like this allow us to engage with community leaders to understand their needs and collaborate to support the community better”.
