A big congratulations to the Richmond Tigers AFL team for bringing home another Premiership win on Saturday!

The AFL club has always had a special connection to our local area and community. 

Here at Yarra, we’re so proud of the team from Richmond for pulling off their third win in four years after defeating the Geelong Cats in the final. The team recently won the Premiership in 2017 and again in 2019. 

The win was a perfect way to celebrate the centenary of their 1920 Grand Final win, proving that Richmond is still a force to be reckoned with 100 years on. 

We were really proud to see everyone in Richmond doing the right thing and following coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions on Saturday. 

The final may have been held at the Brisbane Cricket Ground (the Gabba) this year due to Melbourne's restrictions, but we’re looking forward to welcoming the Richmond team back to Tigerland in 2021!
