We are aware that dog owners are not picking up after their dogs. Dog poo affects all park users and the environment and there is no excuse for not cleaning up after your dog.

We are conducting an enforcement blitz in Citizens Park and surrounding areas from Monday 1 October.

We will be checking that:

• dog registrations are current
• dogs are wearing their registration tags, and
• all people found walking a dog are carrying dog poo bags.

Any person not carrying dog poo bags or similar will receive a $200 infringement notice.

Any person not immediately cleaning up after their dog will receive a $500 infringement notice.

Please be a responsible dog owner so that our parks, gardens and streets can be clean environments for all Yarra residents and visitors to enjoy.
