Beginning Wednesday May 31 development works on the stairs and ramp are planned for Richmond Recreation Centre’s main entrance on Gleadell Street.

The works will be conducted in two phases to minimise impact on members and guests, and it’s anticipated all works will be completed by Tuesday June 13.

Phase 1: Wednesday May 31 – Tuesday June 6

During the first week there will be little impact for members and guests as just the stairs leading to the entrance will be inaccessible. The ramp will remain open during this time leaving easy access to the centre.

Phase 2: Wednesday June 7 – Tuesday June 13

In the second week of works, the stairs will become accessible again, with the ramp to the main entrance now closed for works.  

Members and guests requiring use of an accessible ramp can access the centre via the ramp adjacent to the tennis courts. A Yarra Leisure staff member will be present at this side entrance to direct patrons towards reception once inside. This ramp will be accessible for the week during all operational hours.
