You're invited to the launch of Plan's Australian Program

Thursday 13 June 2019 -

You're invited to the launch of Plan's Australian Program

To celebrate the launch of our Australian program working with very remote Yolŋu communities in North East Arnhemland, we, in partnership with Goŋ-Ḏäl Aboriginal Corporation, would like to invite you to an exhibition of exquisite paintings, sculpture and fibre art by Yolŋu artists from Gapuwiyak and Homelands, represented by Gapuwiyak Culture and Arts Aboriginal Corporation.

We hope you can join us in a warm and communal atmosphere for drinks and canapés, to celebrate the richness and beauty of Yolŋu culture, and our collaboration with Goŋ-Däl Aboriginal Corporation

What is Goŋ-Ḏäl?

Goŋ-Ḏäl was established by local Yolŋu leaders as an innovative and positive initiative to reduce poverty and build a strong future for all Yolŋu families, young people and children in their Homelands and Gapuwiyak. Find out how Plan International Australia and Goŋ-Ḏäl are working and learning together to build the capacity of both organisations, and how Plan International Australia is helping Goŋ-Ḏäl achieve its vision – Yolŋu peoples living culturally strong, healthy, self-determined and economically independent lives in their Homelands and Gapuwiyak – and its mission to: build on cultural strengths, facilitate local decision-making, grow the regional economy and advance self-determination.
