Social responsibility and environmental sustainability are fast becoming a critical part of doing business in the modern world. Effective engagement in sustainable business activity not only enables an organisation to deliver on its social and environmental obligations, it can also maximise productivity and performance by having positive and lasting impacts on core elements of the profit-making process.

About the presenter:

Jane Stewart is a global leader in sustainability education and a strategic thinker in the area of business sustainability. She has worked with business, government and community organisations around the world to develop leading programs that build sustainability literacy and practical on-ground activity. Jane understands that business leaders are faced with unprecedented challenges and works with them to maximise performance while navigating unpredictable change. Jane provides a holistic view on sustainable business activity across all functions of a business so that all staff members understand they key activities that drive wise resource use resulting in increased profitability. She has been invited to present her ideas around the globe from the White House Conference Centre in Washington, to the West End in London and at many conferences in Australia, the UK, and the USA.

Please bring a pen and paper for notes and business cards for networking if you have them. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch or coffee to this casual training and networking event. Please note that no refreshments will be provided at this session.

What is Lunchbox learning?:

Lunchbox learning is a series of training and networking events run by Yarra City Council. The short lunchtime format allows local businesses to present in their area of expertise to other local businesses and interested locals. 2018 is the fifth year of this program.
