Abe Nouk poetry performance

Thursday 21 June 2018

Celebrate Refugee Week at Fitzroy Library on Thursday 21 June from 7pm to 8pm to experience Abe Nouk's poetry.

The Ewing Trust and Fitzroy Library present this very special event.

Abe Nouk is a spoken word poet, MC and author whose craft developed from the realization of the freedom of speech. Born in Sudan, Abe Nouk was illiterate when he and family arrived in Australia in 2004 under the UN High Commission Refugee Status.

Since then, liberated from the nightmares of illiteracy, Abe Nouk has made a name for himself as an author and performer of written words. His special talent and perspective enriches the Australian cultural landscape.

This event is free, although you must book your spot
