Lunchbox learning: Legally binding agreements (Free business training)

Thursday 31 May 2018

Do you worry about how you have engaged your workers? Should you have a social media policy? Are you concerned that your terms and conditions aren't up to scratch?

This session, presented by a local small business lawyer, Jessica Kerr, deals with these tricky questions that small business owners regularly face. Jess will also address the essential IP queries that small business owners wonder about including copyright and trademarks. You will hopefully walk away from this session with some useful tips that you can implement to prevent running into trouble, without having to engage a lawyer.

About the presenter:

Jessica Kerr is the Director of Sinclair + May, a female-led, boutique commercial law firm based in Clifton Hill. Jess works with small businesses to ensure their legals are in order. Jess established Sinclair + May after having her daughter with the view to do law differently. She wanted to take away the fear associated with engaging a lawyer and ensure certainty for her clients.

What to bring:

Please bring a pen and paper for notes and business cards for networking if you have them. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch or coffee to this casual training and networking event. Please note that no refreshments will be provided at this session.
