Yarra Council works with advisory committees on disability, business, art and many others that represent our diverse community. Find out more about each group.
We are in the process of establishing new advisory committees. Check back soon for details of our expression of interest process, when we'll be seeking resident volunteers.
We invite people from the community to help us understand what we can do better in an area of their expertise. Our advisory committees comprise people with disability, older people, business owners, financial risk managers and artists. They steer our decisions with their thoughts, ideas and concerns.
The best way to learn about each advisory committee is to visit the committee's page below, which includes includes their terms of reference and recent meeting minutes. You can also read our committees policy [ PDF, 246.73 KB] for general information about committees. This policy spells out the rules and expectations every committee member must meet.
