Council tenders

Learn how we procures goods, works and services.

Yarra City Council is committed to working in an ethically, sustainable and socially responsible manner.

When it comes to procuring goods, works or services for Yarra, we want to partner with businesses who uphold the same high standards.

We invite tenders for all procurement valued at $300,000 and above (including GST) for goods, services or works.

The principles guiding all procurement activities are detailed in our Procurement Policy [ PDF, 414.63 KB] .

As well as looking for value-for-money, there are other factors we consider including:

  • working with local social enterprises
  • support for indigenous businesses
  • environmental impact

Where you can find our current tenders

We use an e-tendering website, TenderSearch.

You can view, download and submit a tender on this platform.

Tenders are advertised in The Age newspaper on Saturdays in the ‘Local government tender’ section. Sometimes we advertise in the local news media, if there is a specific focus on local supply.
