COVID-19 Update: Don't let COVID-19 ruin your summer

Tuesday 29 November 2022

If you’re planning a day at the beach, going for a holiday, or simply a summer full of fun with your family and friends, don’t let COVID-19 stop you this summer.

The Victorian Government is expecting a rise in cases as we head into the summer festive season. Here are some easy steps to keep you and your family safe:

  • Wear a mask if you’re in crowded public places indoors such as shopping centres or public transport.
  • Stay up to date on your COVID-19 vaccinations to boost your immunity. Everyone aged 30 years or over are eligible for four doses of the vaccine. If it’s been more than three months since your last dose, you can book in now.
  • Move your events and get-togethers outside whenever possible. If you can’t, open your windows to ventilate the area and increase airflow.
  • Stay home if you are sick or test positive for COVID-19.

If you have fallen behind on your vaccinations, the North Eastern Public Health Unit (NEPHU) will be running pop-up vaccination sessions all through December. Find your closest session on their Facebook page.

If you can’t make it to a pop-up session, you find your nearest vaccination service here and book online.
