For residents around Victoria Park

Public Access to Victoria Park

Victoria Park will be closed to the public from 8am on game day until 2 hours after the final siren. You will be able to use Victoria Park at any other time.

Temporary Infrastructure

To reduce heavy and repeated bump in activities, the following temporary infrastructure will remain on-site for the duration of the AFLW season as per previous seasons.

- Portable Toilets
- Customer Service Ticket booth
- Camera Scaffold Platforms
- Temporary Fencing and Crowd Control Barriers around the perimeter of the venue

Field Access

Access to the Victoria Park field will be restricted from 8am on the morning of each event. We advise to find alternative parklands for recreational use.

Set up/Pack down

The week leading into each event date will see increased activity around Victoria Park. Specifically, from Friday through to Monday on each event weekend, being the main period large equipment will be bumped in or out. Following the conclusion of each match, venue staff will ensure the venue is cleaned and accessible for all members of the community. This includes the removal of all event waste, cable ties, and the re-opening of venue gates.

Parking Spaces

Car parks along Abbot Street, Turner Street and Bath Street will be impacted for event day operations.

- 6 parking bays on the corner of Abbott St and Lulie St will be reserved for media broadcast trucks on event days.

- 2 parking bays on Turner & Bath St will be reserved to assist the bump in and out of event fencing & toilets on the immediate days leading up to and following each event.

Noise Levels

The Collingwood Football Club has undertaken careful planning to ensure that the event complies with the City of Yarra’s amplified sound requirements. Timings of amplified noise will be pre-game, quarter time and half-time breaks and post-game. This includes the game siren and in case of any emergency announcements. A scheduled sound check will take place half an hour prior to gates opening at each event day.
