This free session will provide participants with the tools to help decide how to conduct program evaluation and articulate to funders the impact the project has had on the community.
Projects are developed because there is a realisation that something needs to change. Behind every successful grant application should be the process to evaluate the impact of a project.
If the evaluation isn't planned before the project begins, it is difficult to understand the ‘problem’ that is being addressed, and how to measure if a difference is being made through a community group or non-profit organisations work. Information needs to be gathered before starting, along the way, as well as at the completion of the project.
This session covers:
- Planning an evaluation
- Choosing evaluation methods
- Gathering the data
- Analysing the data
Who should attend?
Grant recipients, committee or board members, volunteers, community leaders, community groups and not-for-profit organisations, and individuals/residents based in the City of Yarra interested in learning more about program evaluation.
