Parking permits

Find and apply for all parking permit types, including residential, visitor, business, tradesperson and medical practitioner parking permits.

Under the general local law, it is an offence to:

  • sell, give away or rent a parking permit
  • use or accept a parking permit if you're not the permit holder, or legitimate visitor of the permit holder.

Accessible parking permits are now issued by VicRoads.

Residential and visitor permits
Residential and visitor parking permits are available to eligible residents, with temporary permits issued for special circumstances.
Business parking permits
Businesses operating from a commercial property in Yarra with no off-street parking may be eligible for a business parking permit.
Tradesperson parking permits
Find out about eligibility and how to apply for a tradesperson parking permit.
Medical practitioner permits
Medical practitioner parking permits allow doctors to park in designated Area 50 bays near Yarra hospitals and medical practices.

Other permits

  • Not-for-profit community organisations
  • Live music venues (registered with Music Victoria)
  • Temporary permits (only eligible in certain circumstances)
