Cherrywood — Jock Serong

At first, Cherrywood seems to be a simple story of two strands that converge at a Fitzroy pub – except this pub keeps moving in the night, reappearing across the suburb’s backstreets. Wise to its magical movements is Martha, a young lawyer in 1990s Melbourne, who’s thrown into events initiated by a wealthy Scottish emigrant almost a century earlier.

Hear from author Jock Serong in conversation with Tony Birch as they discuss this charming and thrillingly offbeat account of Fitzroy and its surrounds. Jock will explore his inspiration for the novel's setting and concept; in many ways a departure from his previous works.
