Christmas and New Year's hours 2023

We will be operating some of our services on adjusted timetables during the holiday period.
Bin collections
This year, Christmas Day and New Year's Day fall on a Monday. This means there is a change to waste and recycling collections for the two weeks following Christmas.
There will be no collection on Monday 25 December or Monday 1 January. All collections for the following two weeks will be one day behind, with Friday’s pick-up moved to Saturday (see table below).

Our customer service centres will be closed on the Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day public holidays.
Our regular operation hours of 8.30am-5pm, Monday to Friday, will remain in place for non-public holiday dates.
When we are closed, you can complete most customer service requests online. Or call our after-hours team on 9205 5555 to report a council emergency.
Libraries
Our libraries will have reduced opening hours over the holiday period. View the timetable. Returns chutes will be available at all libraries and items can be renewed online.
Leisure facilities
Burnley Golf Course and our leisure and recreation centres will have modified opening hours, as will group fitness timetables over the holiday period. View the details.
