About Sarah Flynn, Chief Educator at SmartLearn:

"I teach smart phones and computer skills across Melbourne. My business evolved through my passion for hanging out with older folk and my unofficial role as tech support for my mother and all her friends! It was also becoming increasingly obvious to me that many people were being left behind in this rapidly moving age of technology. I’m a primary and middle school teacher by trade but wasn’t enjoying teaching in the school system. My teaching methods didn’t fit the school system because I prefer individualised teaching practices and keeping students engaged by encouraging them to be the driving force of the curriculum design. Most of my students have more knowledge than they realise, but life gets in the way of them reaching their learning potential. If I hear a student say they’re too old to learn, I have a few things to say, but the most appropriate one is ‘if you’re not learning, you’re not alive.’"
