Home and support services for older adults

We provide a number of services to help older people who need extra support to live independently in their own homes and the community.

As an Australia Government-funded provider, we follow the Charter of Aged Care Rights, which includes 14 fundamental protections. When you receive services from us, you have the right to expect high-quality care and to be treated with respect and dignity. How do I access these services?

If you are not currently a client of Yarra City Council, please call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 to register your details and schedule a home assessment.

Need an interpreter?

If you require an interpreter, My Aged Care can arrange one for you.

Is there a fee?

Most of our Aged and Disability Services are provided for a fee, which varies based on the type of service you receive and your income.

Our services

We improve the safety of your home by helping with minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing smoke alarm batteries and lawn mowing.

 

Your Occupational Therapist can make a referral through My Aged Care for installation of ramps, handrails, and other safety equipment to make your home safer.

Our community bus service provides transportation to the Willowview Centre, organised activities, and shopping trips.

Join our recreational activities, events, and social support networks to stay active and engaged with the community.

We deliver nutritious meals right to your doorstep. Alternatively, you can visit the Djerring Centre to enjoy meals and socialise with others in your community.

Visit the Willowview Centre for a day of enjoyable activities like yoga, exercise sessions, card games, crafts, or cooking, and join us for lunch.
