Following the November Council Meeting, Yarra City Council is taking steps to improve the experience for both dog owners and park visitors and investigating locations for safe off-lead dog parks, that includes separate spaces for small and large dogs.
This is part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our parks for all users.
Dogs at Citizen’s Park:
Off-leash: Dogs are welcome to be off-leash when the grounds are not being used for events or training. Check available times online.
On-leash:
- Within 10m of sporting grounds during events or training
- Within 10m of playgrounds
Please don't walk your dog in:
- Fenced repair areas on the grounds
- Playgrounds at any time
We also ask all dog owners to clean up after their dogs to help keep the park clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.
