The event aims to plant 2,400 local native shrubs, grasses and groundcovers to reinstate original vegetation, heal Birrarung Country and bring nature back to the city. Yarra is committed to creating accessible, healthy, resilient, and diverse ecosystems in urban areas, reinforcing Yarra’s commitment to caring for the Birrarung, its parklands and tributaries as one living and integrated natural entity.
