Drop in to find out more about how we're working to fast-track neighbourhood batteries in the City of Yarra, and have your say.
We've worked with the Yarra Energy Foundation to shortlist five areas in Yarra with strong potential for a future neighbourhood battery.
We want to hear from residents, businesses, workers, and visitors to these areas on what they think about possibly having a neighbourhood battery in their community, the kinds of benefits they want to see and ideas for specific locations.
You can participate by completing our online survey before 9am on Monday 7 August and also by speaking to us in person at one of our pop-up events.
We've partnered with the Cities of Melbourne and Port Phillip, and the Victorian Government, to understand ways we can fast-track neighbourhood batteries across the three council areas.
Learn more about the project, see the shortlisted areas, and view the other pop-up event locations at yoursayyarra.com.au/neighbourhoodbatteries.
*In the event of bad weather, this event will be postponed and combined with the Fast-tracking Neighbourhood Batteries pop-up event at Bargoonga Nganjin North Fitzroy Library on Wednesday 26 July from 5:30 - 7:30pm.
