Climate Cafe - facilitated by Psychology for a Safe Climate
-

Bearing witness to the unfolding climate and biodiversity crisis affects us all in different ways, stirring a mix of emotions—despair, hope, anxiety, numbness. Psychology for a Safe Climate and Yarra City Council are pleased to offer this Climate Café as a space to navigate these feelings with others.

At our Climate Café, there is no guest speaker, no advice given, no call to action. Instead, you’ll find a supportive, facilitated conversation where people can gather and share what’s coming up for them in response to the climate crisis. This is a space where you can express thoughts and emotions that may not always find understanding or resonance in daily life. You’re invited to share—honestly and openly—how you’re really feeling at this challenging time.

There may be laughter, there may be tears. There may be fear, there may be anger. Whatever you’re feeling is okay and valued. And it’s fine just to listen. Sharing, listening and being quiet together are all part of our Cafe.

Hosted in partnership with Yarra City Council and Psychology for a Safe Climate.
