Which days are my bins collected?
When do I put out my bin for collection?
Bins should be placed out no earlier than 5pm the night before your collection day, or by 5am on collection day.
Is there bin collection on public holidays?
Bin collections are affected on Christmas Day and Good Friday. If your collection falls on one of these days, then your bins will be collected the following day.
How do I report a missed collection?
Bins are collected any time between 5am and 4pm on your collection day.
If your bin has not been collected by 4pm please let us know within 48 hours via report missed bin collection and we'll collect it within 24-48 business hours (Monday to Friday). Please note that if the missed collection is reported more than 48 hours after the schedule collection day it may take us longer to have the bin emptied.
Please check the bin collection calendar before reporting a missed collection. Bins will not be collected in a different week to the scheduled service.
Why does my bin have a contamination sticker?
Contamination stickers are placed on bins if the wrong items have been put inside. We will mark on the sticker what the wrong items are, so that you know not to put them in next time.
When you have removed the wrong item/s, please call us on 9205 5555 or let us know via report a missed bin collection and we will arrange for your bin to be emptied.
Using your bins correctly helps ensure your recycling, glass and FOGO can be effectively processed and recycled into new products.

Moving to 4-weekly collections better aligns the service with actual use while continuing to support effective recycling.
The new 4-weekly glass collection service starts from 6 July 2026.
