How to use the catalogue

Our online catalogue allows you to search for, renew and place holds on our items.

Our online library catalogue allows you to search for, renew and place holds on our items.

You must log in to the catalogue with your user ID and PIN to:

  • access your library account online
  • renew items
  • place holds on items
  • make item lists

Please ask a staff member if you don't know your PIN.

How to search the catalogue

    Visit our catalogue.

    Type your search term into the search box.

  • 3

    Refine your search results by using the drop-down boxes next to the search box.

How to renew your items
  • 1

    Log in to your account using your user ID and PIN.

  • 2

    Select 'My Account'.

  • 3

    Select 'Renew My Materials'.

  • 4

    Select which individual items you would like to extend.

How to place a hold on an item
  • 1

    Log in to your account using your user ID and PIN.

  • 2

    Search for the item and select 'Place Hold'.

    Select the library that you want to pick up the item from.

    When your item is ready to collect, we will contact you by phone, email, SMS.

    Collect your item from the library within 10 days. 

Holds from other libraries

Libraries Victoria

We are part of Libraries Victoria, a group of public libraries which includes a combined catalogue. If you're a member, you can access Libraries Victoria items by searching our online catalogue.

You cannot place holds on school, TAFE or other special collections from Libraries Victoria.

How to suspend on-hold items

    Log in to your account using your user ID and PIN.

    Select 'My Account'.

  • 3

    Select 'Holds'.

  • 4

    Activate or suspend selected on-hold items.

You can suspend on-hold items on hold by logging in to My Account on the online catalogue or by asking our staff.

Suspending on-hold items is convenient if you're going away, because you won't lose your place in the hold queue. You cannot suspend an on-hold item if it's ready to pick up.
