The Yarra Community Awards honour the everyday heroes who make outstanding contributions to our community.

Nick’s story

Nick is a visual artist and workshop facilitator. They inspire creativity and bring the community together in Yarra, particularly through their work with young people. 

Nick’s collage workshops and art activities focus on expression, identity and community. Nick strives to create a safe space and an open environment where young people can freely express themselves. 

Through their project, ZAP exhibitions, Nick curates a series of art shows that are focused on “exhibiting works of those in minority groups, including emerging artists, queer, gender diverse, BIPOC, deaf and disabled humans"

Nick creates community through everything they do – whether it be art, social events or volunteering.
