Service changes during the holidays

We will be operating some of our services on adjusted timetables during the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

Customer service

Our customer service centres will have adjusted operating times:

  • Christmas Eve Friday 24 December: Closing 2pm
  • Christmas Day (holiday) Monday 27 December: Closed
  • Boxing Day (holiday) Tuesday 28 December: Closed
  • New Years Day (holiday) Monday 3 January: Closed

Service times on all other days will operate usual hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm.

Waste and recycling collections

No changes. Regular waste and recycling collections will continue throughout the entire holiday period. 

Recycling Drop-off Centre trading hours

The Burnley Depot for cardboard and paper drop offs will remain open throughout.

Gleadell Street Market

The Gleadell Street Market will be closed on the following days:

  • Christmas Day - Saturday 25 December
  • New Years Day - Saturday 1 January.

The market will reopen on Saturday 8 January, 2022.
