Alphington Park’s peaceful mown lawn surroundings, playground and public conveniences make it an ideal place for families to visit.
It's also a great place for activities like team sports, lawn bowls, jogging or walking with a designated area for supervised dogs to play off-leash.
Separating Alphington Park from the Yarra River is the natural bushland and conservation area, Alphington Wetlands. Signs at both formal path entrances to Alphington Wetlands define where our resident native animals live, which also indicate where our domestic animals are not permitted to enter.

Dogs at the park
- Your dog is allowed off-leash before 10am and after 5pm.
- Dogs are not allowed on the sports ground during approved sporting events (including training) and must be on leash within 10 metres of the oval during these times.
- Dogs must be kept on-leash within 10 metres of playground and BBQ areas.
