Nature Play Week is a great place to get started or rediscover the Joy of Play—Naturally!
A good reminder that when we create simple play opportunities in the natural environment, we share the gift of imagination, freedom, and outdoor adventure!
Nature Play can be both inexpensive and meaningful-explore parks, bugs, climbing logs, or just enjoy the fresh air together!
Join the Yarra Family Programs & Inclusion team to do this and more at our fun Nature Play Event!
Activities to participate in include:
- Collect natural materials and treasures to build, play orcreate with
- Make a nature mobile
- Learn some weaving skills
- Explore with all your senses as you search for treasures on a nature scavenger hunt
- Circle time – story telling and singing.
Bring spare clothes, a filled water bottle, snacks and wear closed-toe footwear suitable for all weather conditions.
The Farm Cafe and Abbotsford Convent food precinct is close by if you choose to support local businesses or bring along a picnic and enjoy the great outdoors.
