Council is inviting Expressions of Interest from not-for-profit and incorporated community organisations, and other service providers delivering a community benefit to lease rooms within Richmond Library and help activate this important local community hub.

Located at 415 Church Street, Richmond, the library is already home to a range of community organisations alongside its library services. A suite of seven rooms on the lower level is now available to lease, offering flexible accommodation for organisations delivering community, creative or not-for-profit activities.

The space may be suitable for offices, program delivery, studios or collaborative workspaces. The successful tenant will be able to configure the rooms to meet their operational needs while supporting community connection and activity within Richmond Library.

The premises include approximately 136 square metres of space on the lower level, with five private offices or rooms, a foyer or reception area, a kitchenette, shared toilet facilities and an accessible entrance. The facilities are offered for lease in their current condition. Any approved upgrades would need to be funded by the tenant, with prior Council approval required.

Positioned on the corner of Church and Charlotte Streets, Richmond Library is close to nearby tram services and East Richmond Station, providing convenient connections to the CBD and surrounding inner-city neighbourhoods.

Council encourages eligible organisations and service providers with ideas for community-focused use of the space to submit an Expression of Interest.
