Councillor Harrison was elected Deputy Mayor of Yarra City Council on 12 November 2025.‎‎‎

Councillor Harrison was elected at the 2024 Council elections to serve the Boulevard Ward, which includes Burnley and eastern parts of Richmond and Abbotsford. Councillor Harrison has lived in Yarra for 12 years with her family.

Councillor Harrison is focused on seeing Council return to the core issues of service provision, including roads, rubbish, stormwater upgrades and investment in green spaces and public facilities, and has a strong interest in transport infrastructure.

Councillor Harrison has also been appointed as Yarra’s representative for the:

  • Australian Local Government Women’s Association, and
  • Victorian Local Governance Association.

Councillor Harrison has over ten years’ experience working in the higher education sector and has extensive experience in research management and program coordination in the health field. Councillor Harrison has a PhD from the University of Edinburgh.

Ward boundary

Boulevard Ward includes all of Burnley and parts of Richmond and Abbotsford. Boulevard Ward boundaries include Burnley Street, Madden Grove, Coppin Street, Bridge Road and the Yarra River. 7,279 residents call Boulevard Ward home.
