Move for Life
Our Move for Life program aims to ensure that older adults feel strong, empowered and connected.
Designed for people aged 55 and over, the program focuses on people who need a gentle and supportive gym experience.
Our trainers will run an engaging and independent session to build your strength, balance, mobility and confidence.
Day and location
We offer classes weekdays at Collingwood Leisure, Centre Fitzroy Swimming Pool and Richmond Recreation Centre.
How to join
Complete your medical form
Before you start the program, your doctor must complete our medical form [ PDF, 136.43 KB] to confirm you can participate. Please bring the completed medical form to your initial assessment.
Book your assessment
You can book an initial assessment by logging into our online portal or visiting your nearest centre. The assessment allows our gym instructors to create a tailored program especially for you.
If you've completed your initial assessment, you can book a class online.

- Full price: $11.05
- Concession: $6.70
- Initial assessment: $53.20
- Re-assessment: $53.20
Classes are casual, there is no contract and you don't need to be a member to attend.
Visit Passes offering a 10% discount are also available in 10 and 25 session packs.

Book a re-assessment
We recommend having a re-assessment every 8 to 12 weeks. If you think it's time for a new program, you must book a gym appointment at reception.
New programs and assessments can't be scheduled during Move for Life sessions as we need to supervise and support participants.
