Victoria Park is a major community recreation space and former home of the Collingwood Football Club.
It includes a fenced football oval, community centre, public art and sculpture. The old terraces have been landscaped and are now perfect for picnics and barbeques with family and friends.

Permits
To book an area in the park, as long as it’s not being used for sporting events, you will need an event in public spaces permit.
Venue conditions
- We need a minimum of two weeks’ notice for all potential permits.
- We need at least two months' notice for large events.
- As the event hirer, you must carry your event permit at all times.

Alcohol
Alcohol may be consumed in the park between 9am and 9pm. This does not require a permit.
You must apply for a temporary limited license if you intend to sell alcohol within the park.
Dogs
Dogs are only allowed off-leash on the oval when it's not in use for approved sporting events (including training).
Personal trainers
Personal trainers are allowed to use the oval when not in use for approved sporting events (including training).

How to book
If you are a registered user and have booked with us before, you can log into our booking system to book a space.
If you are a new user, you need to register with us before you make a booking.
Organisation bookings
If you are from an organisation, you must:
- register your organisation
- make your booking under your organisation's name.
If you're from a not-for-profit group, you may be eligible for discounted use. Contact our bookings team to find out more.
Availability
A number of community sporting groups use Victoria Park oval. The below schedule shows the days where the oval is booked for exclusive use.
Outside these hours, the oval is open for the public. Lights will remain on from dusk until 9pm between 4 April and 30 September each year.

Victoria Park may need repair works from time to time. During these times, we will mark sections of the ground with temporary fencing. Please ensure that you or your dog(s) do not enter these areas.
