Why Join the Market?
Gleadell Street Market is one of Melbourne’s most established and popular community markets, attracting a diverse range of residents and visitors each week. Traders benefit from:
- Strong local customer base
- Vibrant community atmosphere
- Affordable trading opportunities
- Exposure to a wide and diverse audience
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from fruit and vegetable businesses to come join our market.
Note: we are primarily a fruit and vegetable market, however there are spaces for a smaller number of other food stalls. With these other food stalls, we like to maintain a variety of offerings to reduce competition amongst stallholders and provide diversity for our customers.
We do not currently have any spaces for new permanent stalls, so all new applications will be on a casual basis. During busy times when the market is fully occupied, you will be placed on a waitlist and once we have a vacant spot we will reach out to you and discuss including you as a casual stall.
What do you need to apply?
Applicants may be required to provide:
- Business details and ABN
- Public liability insurance
- Food registration certificates (where applicable)
- Product descriptions and photos
- Relevant permits and licences
Assessment Criteria
Applications are assessed based on:
