Please find below information regarding the fees and charges for Town Halls, community venues, and meeting rooms

These fees and charges are effective to 30 June 2027, as per Yarra City Council's budget cycle.

*Additional Venue Support Officers may be required in addition to the hire fee depending on attendee numbers, and the complexity and nature of the event.

The Not-For-Profit rate is just available to registered Not-For-profit community groups and charities.

Eligible organisations include
  • Local Schools
  • Registered not-for-profit organisations
  • Charitable organisations

Council considers the capacity of users to pay and offers concessions to make some services more affordable for eligible members of the community. Community pricing aims to remove barriers to participation for low-income earners and people in the community who need it most.

To be eligible to receive Council’s community rate, the hirer must have at least one of the following:

  • Health Care Card
  • Commonwealth Seniors Health Card
  • Pensioner Concession Card
  • Veterans' Affairs Pensioner Concession Card
  • Veterans' Affairs Gold Card
  • Carer Card (We Care)
Non-Eligible Events
  • Events booked by registered organisations
  • Private gatherings/parties
  • Weddings
  • Funerals
  • Booking that charge attendees an entry or joining fee.
  • Bookings that are not deemed to be in the spirit of the community vision of inclusive and accessible services.
