Olivia Wang’s dedication to showcasing Asian-Australian culture through the performing arts has made a significant impact in Yarra, earning her recognition for her Contribution to Arts and Culture.
As an actress, producer, and founder of Cross Encounters, Olivia leads Melbourne’s first certified Chinese-Australian performing arts organisation, fostering cultural exchange and connection. Her recent projects, including the Asian Australian Drama Music Festival and a unique Chinese New Year event, have created free, inclusive spaces for diverse communities to experience shared traditions.
Olivia’s work also supports international students, women, and LGBTQIA+ groups, making Cross Encounters a platform for cultural expression and connection across Yarra.
