Inkrewsive

Inkrewsive is a very unique program which supports artists to gain skills, become independent and receive occasional payment from performing in public gigs etc. Participants engage in professional art making experiences working with rap, beat making, dance and making music video clips. If you're into hip hop and you're looking for a crew to make friends, learn skills and be part of Melbourne's most accessible hip hop team Contact inkrewsive

Weave Movement Theatre

As well as producing new works, Weave present workshops and training days designed to engage people with a disability in the arts and build the capacity of the arts sector to include people of all abilities.

Weave workshops aim to encourage people with and without a disability to explore new ways of moving, to be creative and challenge assumptions about the abilities, ideas and possibilities of working with people who have a disability.

Workshops and training days are available for:

  • organisations which work in disability and/or the arts
  • people with a disability
  • recreation workers
  • dance practitioners.

Try Before You Ride

Try Before You Ride is a free event run by Travellers Aid and public transport operators, held at Southern Cross Station. You can learn about stationary vehicles, the station, and safe travel on the network, with help from experts.

Cheers! The (virtual) happy hour connecting the blind community

Blind Citizens Australia (BCA) is launching daily virtual happy hours to connect community members who are blind or visually impaired. The Happy Hours will run from 11am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 7.30pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
