The Amendment came into operation when notice of its Approval was published in the Victorian Government Gazette on 30 July 2026.

Overview
The amendment implements built form and heritage analysis prepared for the Bridge Road and Victoria Street Major Activity Centres by replacing interim Schedules 21 and 22 to the Design and Development Overlay with Schedules 1 to 10 to the Built Form Overlay, updates local policy within the Planning Policy Framework and makes other consequential changes to the Yarra Planning Scheme, as part of the Train and Tram Zone Activity Centres Program.
