The Amendment came into operation when notice of its Approval was published in the Victorian Government Gazette on 30 July 2026.

Overview
The amendment implements built form and heritage analysis prepared for activity centres in Fitzroy and Collingwood by replacing interim and redundant Schedules to the Design and Development Overlays with Schedules 12 to 23 to the Built Form Overlay, applies the Heritage Overlay to two places, updates local policy within the Planning Policy Framework and makes other consequential changes to the Yarra Planning Scheme, as part of the Train and Tram Zone Activity Centres Program.
