You need a road/footpath occupation permit if you are occupying Council land during your build.

There are several different permit types:

• Plant and equipment – scissor lifts, excavator, concrete pumps
• Cranes and supporting equipment – cranes, support equipment, vehicles and franner cranes
• Hoarding and gantries – hoarding, temporary fencing, scaffolding, gantry
• Construction zone – for Construction Management Plans (CMP) only
• Work area permit – small scale works either by hand, ladders or mobile scaffold
• Work zones – parking spaces for trade vehicles associated with your site
• Shipping container – shipping or portable self-storage container.
