Yarra Libraries supports early literacy development through the delivery of preschool programs, including Storytime, Babytime and Rhymetime.

We support early literacy development through the delivery of preschool programs, including Storytime, Babytime and Rhymetime.

The programs are held weekly during the school term. We foster a love of learning with regular after-school programs and free school holiday programs.

We also have a range of video activities and programs for kids of all ages on YouTube.

For preschoolers

Our preschool programs support early literacy development and provide parents and carers with support to be their child's first teacher. Our librarians are certified 3A practitioners and incorporate sensory-friendly activities and aids.

Babytime

For school-aged children

We provide after-school and school holiday programs to help children stay engaged with the library and foster a lifelong love of reading and learning. Some programs require bookings.
