Citizens Park is Richmond's largest park and one of the busiest in Yarra.
The oval is used for a range of organised sports and as a destination for people to relax, exercise and walk their dogs.

- Citizens Park is wheelchair accessible and has accessible parking.
Dogs at the park
- Dogs are allowed off-leash in unfenced sporting grounds only when the grounds are not in use for approved sporting events (including training)
- Dogs must be kept on-leash within 10 metres of sporting grounds when they are in use for approved sporting events (including training)
- Dogs are prohibited within playgrounds at any time
- Dogs must be kept on-leash within 10 metres of playground areas
- Sections of the ground marked with temporary fencing are under repair. Please do not allow dogs to enter these areas.
Areas available for hire
Personal trainers are welcome to use the oval when not in use for approved sporting events (including training).

Citizens Park oval is used by a number of community sporting groups and is booked for exclusive use as per the below schedule.

This schedule is subject to change and will be updated regularly to assist the wider community and dog walkers in planning their visits to Citizens Park. Weekend match finish times may be extended past the approved booking times, in the instance there is a delay in play caused by unfavourable weather conditions. In this case play may be extended until 7:30pm at the latest.
The oval is open for the public to use outside of the hours listed above. Lights will remain on from dusk until 10pm daily.
