The Jack Dyer Community Room is a large modern space located within Citizens Park above the football club. It is suitable for events with 50-100 guests. The space has an adjacent commercial kitchen and is situated on the second storey with a lovely view over the park.

Commercial kitchen

The kitchen features a commercial electric oven, induction stovetop, microwave, instant hot/cold water tap, commercial dishwasher, two refrigerators and servery.

Venue conditions

  • Jack Dyer Pavilion is multi-purpose community hub, which may be used by a range of groups at any given time. At all times, the Hirer and their guests should be respectful of other users of the space and keep noise to a reasonable level.
  • The venue is located on the second level and the entrance is on ground level. The door is only accessible via swipe card, you will need to station someone at the door to facilitate access for your guests.
  • Although this space is located next to the oval, the oval is unable to be hired privately for events and is either open to the public or used for sports.
  • Additional measures may apply for high-risk events in this space, including but not limited to: - a higher bond, compulsory security guards, a valid liquor license, staff with RSAs.
  • A swipecard must be collected from Collingwood Town Hall reception during business hours to allow access to the venue when the building is closed.
  • The furniture must be returned to the default setup/storeroom after each booking.
  • You must supply your own cutlery, crockery, glassware and linen.
  • You may choose your own caterer; names of recommended caterers can be provided upon request.
  • Bin space at this venue is very limited and all waste must be sorted as per our recycling guidelines. Excess waste must be taken with you.

Alcohol

Jack Dyer Community Room is not a licensed venue. You must apply for a temporary limited licence if you intend to sell alcohol.

You must submit a Partysafe form to Victoria Police if you want to:

  • supply alcohol free of charge
  • allow guests to bring their own alcohol

How to book 

If you are a registered user and have booked with us before, you can log into our booking system to book a space.

If you are a new user, you need to register with us before you make a booking.

Organisation bookings

If you are from an organisation, you must:

  • register your organisation
  • make your booking under your organisation's name.

If you're from a not-for-profit group, you may be eligible for discounted use. Contact our bookings team to find out more.
