This year marks 50 years of the NAIDOC March, a long-standing tradition of honouring, elevating and standing with First Nations peoples. The March is a powerful call for recognition, a celebration of culture and community, and a reminder of the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
It is a moment of visibility, solidarity and reflection. A chance to walk together, acknowledge our shared histories and amplify voices that continue to shape this country. It will commence at the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS), 186 Nicholson Street, Fitzroy and proceeds to Federation Square, Melbourne.
A large number of people are expected to join the walk, so we ask everyone attending to follow the guidance of volunteers and Victoria Police, who will be supporting safe passage for all.
