We offer many resources to help you with your Grant application. 

You can look at previous years approved grant recipients to give you an idea of the projects and programs that have been funded. 

Previous rounds

At the Council Meeting on 16 December 2025, 70 applications were approved for the 2026 Yarra Grants Program.  248 applications were received.  A further 29 applications were approved supporting multicultural, seniors’ and women’s community groups.

At the Council Meeting on 26 November 2024, 131 applications were endorsed for the 2025 Annual Grants totalling $1,316,468. 

 230 applications were submitted.

The Yarra Arts Fellowship for 2025 was awarded to artist Jacqui Stockdale. 

Council approved 123 grants on 14 November 2023.  230 applications were received.

Round 2 Arts and Culture 2024 Annual Grants, targeting grant outcomes for July to December 2024, opened in November 2023 and are also now closed.

We announced the 2023 grants during the Council Meeting on 15 November 2022. With over 170 applications submitted, we approved 108 grants, representing a 62% success rate. In total, we allocated $968,370 to support various projects.

At the Council Meeting on 23 November 2021, we announced the 2022 grants. The program received 220 applications, an increase of 22 from the previous year. Applicants requested more than $1.8 million for projects with a combined value of $9.5 million. Out of all submissions, 159 were recommended for funding, receiving a total of $1,003,280. This means 72% of the applications were successful.

Community training

We offer community training sessions throughout the year to support not-for profit and community organisations in Yarra to run as effectively as possible.

These sessions provide advice and information on how to apply for grants, managing relationships, project management, media strategies and more.
