Join the Seniors and Sprouts program
Seniors aged 65+ are invited to join our 7-week program with local kindergartners.
We’re inviting Yarra residents aged 65+ to take part in the Seniors and Sprouts program - an initiative that connects senior community members with 4-year-old kindergarten children for shared learning and connection.
Each week, participating seniors will join a local kinder class for an hour of guided interaction.
Why get involved?
Research shows that programs like Seniors and Sprouts can bring real benefits for both children and older adults.
For children: greater empathy, improved social skills, and respect for older generations.
For seniors: improved quality of life, reduced isolation, and enhanced wellbeing and cognitive function.
